Traveling to get to your woodworking class doesn’t have to be a hassle! Give us a call. We can help you with everything from finding a good restaurant to getting around Champaign-Urbana. While you’re here:

We’ve partnered with Extended Stay America in Champaign to offer discounts for students who need to spend a night or more. Each room has a fully equipped kitchen and, and there is a coin-operated laundry on site. A free grab-and-go breakfast and complimentary wireless help make your stay even more enjoyable.

 

Call (217) 351-8899‎ to make reservations, and ask to speak to Oscar or Josh. Let them know you’re a CU Woodshop School of Woodworking student to receive a 10% discount on your room rate.

 

 

We also have two electrical RV hook-ups available by the CU Woodshop School! There is an on-site dumping option and a nearby hose for water. These hook-ups are free for our students – just be sure to call and reserve your spot when you sign up for classes.

If our hook-ups are already reserved, or if you enjoy tent camping, the Woodshop recommends D&W Lake Camping and RV Park, just 10 minutes from the School. Eat Well

 

Forget about gas station food! Menus from area restaurants and fast food options that deliver are available at the School. For specific recommendations, just ask your friendly CU Woodshop employee or local fellow student. You can also visit EatCU to get an idea of what's available.

Get Around Quickly

 

If you anticipate needing transportation to and from your hotel or campground while you’re here, speak with us about our shuttle service. The CU School is also on several bus routes.
