Jerry Rhoads Contact CU Woodshop
About Jerry Rhoads: Jerry Rhoads has been doing woodworking and woodturning all his life and has been a union carpenter since 1978. He became a serious woodturner in 2002 and a full-time woodturner a few years later.

He sought out professional organizations and training to improve his skills and began selling his work at area art festivals, receiving several awards. At the same time he began teaching others the joys of woodturning and has been teaching classes for CU Woodshop and Parkland College since 2010.

Jerry has been a member of the American Association of Woodturners and Central Illinois Woodturners since 2005. In 2008 he and a few other woodturners formed Flatland Woodturners, where he currently serves as President.

Jerry enjoys unleashing the beauty of the wood every day in his shop. You can see some of his work on his website at www.jerryrhoadswoodturning.com.
