About Jeremy Taylor: Jeremy began woodworking as a teenager, and went on to pursue a career building custom furniture. He was initially inspired during visits to the New England area, where he had the opportunity to study some of the finest original pieces of early American furniture. Through examining works from craftsmen past, years of thumbing through old woodworking books, and late nights spent in the shop, he has learned the time-tested ways and techniques of fine furniture making.

Today, his individual pieces display these honest methods of joinery, such as hand-cut dovetails or keyed mortise-and-tenon joints as well as a functional design. He has several modern machines, but his true passion is working with traditional hand tools.

Jeremy genuinely takes pleasure in his work, and it shows in the furniture that he makes. He has been invited to exhibit his original work in the Illinois State Museum Artisans Galleries in Chicago and Rend Lake, as well as numerous art festivals throughout the mid-west.
